Moving tangles!

The Diva's
Weekly Challenge #276: "SpaceTruckin' - Moving tangles!"

Fun, wobbly and good memories. These two tiles were tangled while Paul and I travelled on the fast train from Paris to Amsterdam last September. I had been so inspired by the beautiful balconies and railings in Paris that as soon as we settled in our seats on the train my tiles and pen were out.  Oh, I had a glass of wine as well (as you do in France)!

  1. Done so well, my compliment. I tried to tangle in a train (from the Netherlands to Switzerland) but I gave up because it was moving too much. I like what you did!

  2. I don't see wobbly. I see a great tile.

  3. Wonderful tiles, and tangling on a train leaves you with something concrete to remember the journey by :-)

  4. I can tell you weren't tangling on a train in the United States. Our rail infrastructure is old and in need of repair. I'm usually very impressed by trains in Europe. I'm also often inspired by grill work. My phone camera is full of photos of grills on buildings from all over the world. Come visit us in Philadelphia. Lots of tangle inspiration on the street. Nice.

  5. The only tangle I manage successfully on a train is Diva Dance, which is more forgiving than many. And, like you, I have so many photos of wrought iron grilles and balconies waiting to be "deconstructed" into tangles.

  6. These are amazing, was it the wine that gave you a steady hand? The balconies in Europe are so inspiring. I take so many photos of wrought ironwork gates and balconies (like a lot of other people obsessed with patterns I assume).

  7. Beautiful work! That sounds like an absolute dream, tangling on a train, in Europe, drinking wine;-) I love the wiggly bits.

  8. Very beautiful work and definitely looks to me like it was inspired by wrought iron. I love the way that wrought iron grill work lends itself so nicely to tangling. I have to say that it doesn't look all that wobbly to me either. Beautiful!
